Description Job Summary: The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing customer accounts. This person will work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver positive customer experience and will help grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
- Develops positive relationships with clients.
- Acts as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
- Generates new business using existing and potential customer networks.
- Resolves conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
- Reports on the status of accounts and transactions.
- Multi-tasks between various programs and phone calls.
- Enters correct customer and customer order data into a CRM and ERP system.
- Opens and maintains customer accounts.
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Manages in-coming calls.
- Works closely with various other departments.
- Processes customer design and cost requests.
- Prepares and presents quotes.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven customer support experience.
- Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.
- Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written. Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- At least two years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes preferred. Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
