Specialist Nurse Practitioner SCPHN /OH - 12-month FTC

As we continue to invest in our people and colleague experience, we're looking for an experienced and compassionate Specialist Nurse Practitioner SCPHN /OH to join us on a part-time basis (21 hours per week) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Part of Arriva UK's Employee Experience team, this role brings specialist occupational health expertise to support a healthy, inclusive and high-performing workplace. Working across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce, you'll provide expert advice on complex health matters, support colleague wellbeing and help shape our occupational health approach across the organisation. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at both an individual and organisational level. Working closely with HR, operational leaders, Health & Safety teams and external occupational health providers, you'll help ensure colleagues receive the support they need while contributing to wider wellbeing and employee experience initiatives. This role will be on a hybrid working basis, with your main office base in either our York, Sunderland (Doxford), Thurmaston or London (Lacon House) offices. The remainder of your time can be spent where you can best support your colleagues while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Some travel to the depots across Arriva UK will be required. What you'll be doing

• Providing expert occupational health advice to managers, HR teams and business leaders.
• Acting as the key relationship lead for external occupational health providers, ensuring high-quality and consistent service delivery.
• Overseeing health surveillance programmes and supporting legal compliance across the business.
• Supporting workplace adjustments, rehabilitation plans and sustainable returns to work.
• Contributing occupational health expertise to wellbeing initiatives and preventative health strategies.
• Supporting the management of complex health cases and referral pathways.
• Using occupational health insights and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Providing input into policies, projects and strategic people initiatives. What we're looking for We're seeking a registered nurse with the recognised qualification in Occupational Health with a strong occupational health level of expertise and the ability to turn clinical information into practical workplace solutions. You'll bring:
• Current NMC registration. E.g. Part 3 of the register
• Experience supporting case management, workplace adjustments and health surveillance programmes.
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
• The ability to communicate complex clinical matters clearly to non-clinical audiences.
• Sound judgement, discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Experience within transport, rail or another safety-critical environment would be advantageous, and Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner qualification. Why join Arriva?
