Summary This position is located at Fort Bliss DFMWR Business Operations Division. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties

  • Proactively develops and pursues business opportunities that increase utilization and generate revenue for MWR facilities, programs, event spaces, and services. Identifies and engages prospective customers and target markets.
  • Conducts ongoing market research and analysis to identify current, emerging, and under served customer segments and business opportunities for MWR facilities, programs, event spaces, and services.
  • Establishes and effectively uses a sustainable business-development management process that provides clear visibility of prospects, qualified leads, active opportunities, proposals, bookings, lost opportunities, and outreach activities.
  • Develops and sustains purposeful relationships with military organizations, school districts, businesses, associations, community organizations, event organizers, and appropriate stakeholders to expand awareness and utilization of MWR facilities.
  • Engages prospective customers to understand their event purpose, requirements, budget, schedule, audience, and desired experience and works to identify appropriate MWR solutions. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible management experience in banquet, catering, and special events. Must be well organized with an attention to detail. Must possess ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must have well-developed computer, organizational, time management, prioritization and writing abilities, with an aptitude for learning new skills. Demonstrated knowledge of PC computer programs including Microsoft operating system, Excel and PowerPoint required. The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.   • Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly desired criteria. Knowledge and experience with property and institutional management systems (Opera, Benchmark, Sales and Catering Systems, Miracle, Central Reservation Systems, etc.) Applicants that meet the Highly Desired criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list. Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
