Job Description: This job is responsible for conducting quantitative analytics and complex modeling projects for specific business units or risk types. Key responsibilities include leading the development of new models, analytic processes, or system approaches, creating technical documentation for related activities, and working with Technology staff in the design of systems to run models developed. Job expectations may include the ability to influence strategic direction, as well as develop tactical plans. Balance Sheet Management (BSM) is a Treasury organization responsible for providing executive management with accurate and timely balance sheet and Net Interest Income (NII) forecasts. BSM also plays a critical role in measuring, monitoring, and analyzing Interest Rate Risk (IRR) through a variety of methodologies. This work provides the framework that enables the company to position its balance sheet in a manner consistent with its risk appetite and expectations for changes in interest rates. BSM maintains close partnerships across the enterprise and provides key input into many of the company's most important strategic and financial processes, including:
  • Balance sheet composition and interest rate risk strategy.
  • Strategic planning and the company's three-year outlook in partnership with Corporate Planning and Finance.
  • Development of funds transfer pricing and profitability frameworks to ensure efficient balance sheet utilization.
  • Enterprise stress testing under adverse economic scenarios in partnership with the Enterprise Stress Testing team.
  • Production of balance sheet and NII forecasts in coordination with the Lines of Business and Global Liquidity Management for Climate Risk, Resolution Planning, and Recovery Planning exercises. Responsibilities:
  • Performs end-to-end market risk stress testing including scenario design, scenario implementation, results consolidation, internal and external reporting, and analyzes stress scenario results to better understand key drivers
  • Leads the planning related to setting quantitative work priorities in line with the bank’s overall strategy and prioritization
  • Identifies continuous improvements through reviews of approval decisions on relevant model development or model validation tasks, critical feedback on technical documentation, and effective challenges on model development/validation
  • Maintains and provides oversight of model development and model risk management in respective focus areas to support business requirements and the enterprise's risk appetite
  • Leads and provides methodological, analytical, and technical guidance to effectively challenge and influence the strategic direction and tactical approaches of development/validation projects and identify areas of potential risk
  • Works closely with model stakeholders and senior management with regard to communication of submission and validation outcomes
  • Performs statistical analysis on large datasets and interprets results using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of analytics tools, forecasting models, automation solutions, and risk framework enhancements that support BSM forecasting, balance sheet analytics, and key metrics such as NII, NII Risk, EVE, and driver attribution.·
  • Partner with Treasury, Line of Business Finance, Risk, Technology, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions, while owning project delivery, documentation, governance, and development best practices through code reviews and technical leadership.
  • Drive innovation through process automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that enhance forecasting efficiency, strengthen risk measurement and analytical capabilities, improve decision-making, and reduce operational dependencies. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in analytics, software development, quantitative modeling, financial services, or a related field.
  • Advanced programming skills with strong proficiency in Python and/or C/C++, including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, and development best practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modeling, and process automation.
  • Experience developing data-driven analytics solutions, dashboards, reporting tools, automation capabilities, or AI-enabled applications. Desired Qualifications:
  • Master degree in related field or equivalent working experience.
  • SQL and/or other advanced data manipulation skills
  • Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a proven track record of translating complex business challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate across business, finance, risk, and technology organizations while managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving strategic initiatives, process optimization, automation, and innovation, while contributing as a hands-on team member when needed.
  • Knowledge of Treasury, balance sheet management, forecasting, asset-liability management, interest rate risk, or broader financial analytics is preferred. Skills:
