Insurance Verification Specialist I

• Navigate hospital systems remotely to investigate account status
• Request and obtain eligibility documentation of patient's coverage via web, phone calls or written requests
• Update accounts to appropriate status based on information found in the hospital system and account protocols Requirements Required Education: High School Diploma Preferred Experience: Medical office experience in registration and/or patient account systems. Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Understanding of medical insurance payers
• Understanding of medical billing rules and practices
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
