Job Description: A store manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a retail store. They ensure the store runs smoothly and profitably, and that customers have a positive experience. Responsibilities
- Customer service : Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient
- Sales and marketing : Promote the store and its products, and implement marketing campaigns
- Staff management : Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff
- Inventory management : Ensure the store has the right products at the right time
- Financial management : Monitor the store's financial performance, create budgets, and ensure the store meets its financial goals
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Store policies : Create store policies and marketing programs
- Reporting : Compile data about sales and promotions, and produce reports for senior management Skills and qualifications
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, marketing, and customer service
- Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
