The Opportunity We are seeking a Student Intern to support operational assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across the U.S. Gas footprint. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, operational performance evaluation, risk management, quality assurance, and change management. The Student Intern will work with operational and business stakeholders to assess processes, analyze performance trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of sustainable solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. - Identify and assess safety and operational risks through data collection and analysis
- Analyze and trend data to develop insights that support risk reduction and operational improvement recommendations
- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and improvement opportunities
- Support the development and implementation of change management plans
- Engage and collaborate with impacted stakeholders throughout improvement initiatives
- Evaluate post-implementation effectiveness, sustainability, and value achievement
- Provide assurance on data quality and reporting of key operational metrics using Power BI
- Maintain ethical, equitable, and quality standards that support safe operational performance
- Support ad hoc projects and requests as required Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or related undergraduate degree program
- Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
- Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization techniques
- Knowledge of operational performance measurement, risk management, or continuous improvement practices
- Experience preparing presentations, reports, or business cases for stakeholders
- Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
- Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
- Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
