Job Description In Sandoz Development Center in Slovenia, we are responsible for the development of generic medicines with high added value for patients. We are looking for a Scientist to join the Pharmaceutical Technology group within the Pharmaceutical Development Department. The Pharmaceutical Technology group is responsible for the preparation and manufacture of laboratory-scale batches of various oral solid dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, and similar pharmaceutical products. We are a team of highly motivated and professionally skilled experts. Therefore, we are looking for a Scientist who will support the planning and execution of laboratory activities and act as a key contact person for laboratory digital systems and electronic experiment execution. In addition, the successful candidate will help drive digital agility and efficiency in laboratory operations. Your key responsibilities:

• Supporting technicians and scientists in the effective use of digital tools and data transfer processes.
• Coordinating and planning laboratory activities for multiple projects on a weekly basis and execute and document activities in accordance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) principles.
• Executing experiments, analyses, and process-related activities while contributing to the smooth progression of scientific and technical work. Ensure timely delivery of results in line with required quality standards.
• Promoting and supporting the implementation of new digital solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Acting as a liaison between laboratory teams and scientists within Pharmaceutical Technology.
• Ensuring compliance with quality requirements, occupational health and safety standards, and other Sandoz requirements.
• Ensuring proper process and data management within electronic systems.
• Participating in data management activities for new laboratory equipment and in the optimization of existing equipment.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management, development needs, or as defined in the annual objectives and performance targets agreement.
• Contributing to Operational Excellence initiatives. What you will bring to the role:
• University degree or higher education qualification in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or another relevant natural science discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field. For candidates holding a university degree, prior work experience is not required.
• Strong ability to coordinate and plan activities, combined with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interest in digital systems, data management, and process optimization, with relevant experience in these areas.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in English. What we offer: Job location: Ljubljana Contract type: temporary for one year and with a six-month probation period Expected weekly working hours: 40 *Pay range: €33,760 – €50,640 gross yearly * Salary at Sandoz is based on job level, qualifications, specific skills, and work experience. Fully proficient candidates are usually placed around the market median, less experienced candidates lower in the range, and those with strong or niche expertise higher. When determining placement within the range, we also consider internal pay equity and external market data. Our compensation package additionally includes:
• Annual bonus (STI): percentage of annual salary.
• Vacation allowance: in 2026 it was €2,450.00 net.

Iščemo raziskovalca, ki se bo pridružil skupini Farmacevtske tehnologije znotraj oddelka Farmacevtski razvoj. Skupina Farmacevtska tehnologija je odgovorna za pripravo in izdelavo laboratorijskih serij različnih farmacevtskih peroralnih trdnih farmacevtskih oblik, kot so tablete, kapsule in drugi podobni izdelki. Smo ekipa visoko motiviranih in strokovno usposobljenih ekspertov, zato iščemo raziskovalca, ki bo podpiral načrtovanje ter izvedbo laboratorijskih aktivnosti ter deloval/-a kot ključna kontaktna oseba za laboratorijske digitalne sisteme in elektronsko izvajanje eksperimentov. • Koordinacija in načrtovanje laboratorijskih aktivnosti za več projektov na tedenski ravni ter izvajanje in dokumentiranje aktivnosti v skladu z načeli dobre dokumentacijske prakse.
• Izvajanje eksperimentov, analiz ali procesnih aktivnosti ter prispevanje k nemotenemu napredku znanstvenega in tehničnega dela. Pravočasno zagotavljanje rezultatov v skladu z zahtevanimi standardi kakovosti.
• Spodbujanje in izvajanje uvajanja novih digitalnih rešitev ter iniciativ za nenehne izboljšave.
• Povezovalni člen med laboratorijskimi ekipami in znanstveniki na področju farmacevtske tehnologije.
• Zagotavljanje skladnosti z zahtevami kakovosti, standardi varnosti in zdravja pri delu ter drugimi zahtevami družbe Sandoz.
• Zagotavljanje upravljanja procesov in podatkov v elektronskih sistemih.
