Empowered Choice Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Friends & Family Caregiver | $23–$26/hr | Oregon Only About Empowered Services Empowered Services is a one-on-one attendant care agency providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) support and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Through our Empowered Choice Program (ECP) , individuals receiving services can choose a trusted friend or family member to become their paid Direct Support Professional (DSP). Position Overview We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) through our Friends & Family Caregiver Program . This is a non-traditional caregiving role where you support someone you already know and are connected to (friend, family member, or trusted individual) who:

• Is part of the I/DD community
• Has a Service Coordinator
• Qualifies for in-home support services through Medicaid You will provide 1:1, person-centered care while Empowered Services manages payroll, onboarding, and compliance. Important Program Details
• This position is for Oregon residents only
• You must be selected by the individual receiving services
• Hours are based on state-authorized service plans
• This is not a traditional client assignment Key Responsibilities
• Provide ADL support (hygiene, meals, mobility, daily routines)
• Assist with medication reminders or support (as applicable)
• Support community access (appointments, errands, activities)
• Encourage independence and skill development
• Follow the individual’s approved service plan
• Maintain professional boundaries and clear communication
• Accurately document services and daily activities

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be chosen by the individual receiving services
• Ability to pass a background check through the State of Oregon (not all records are disqualifying)
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
