• Pathology Department: Medicine | Pathology Position Summary Data Management Specialist for the Anatomic Pathology (AP) Division of the Department of Pathology; assists AP Manager
• Quality Data Reporting with reporting and compliance efforts and supports leadership including the Laboratory Medical Director(s) and Chief Quality Officer(s), Chief Administrative Officer, AP Operations Director, AP Associate Operations Director(s), and AP Lab Compliance Manager. This role participates in the collection, analysis, validation, and reporting of clinical and operational quality data to ensure compliance with quality management plan and laboratory accreditation purposes; Assists with coordinating, reporting and monitoring pathologist specific quality indicators; Generates and analyzes reports utilizing Epic, Beaker, and Slicer Dicer to provide meaningful data and performance metrics to departmental leadership; Identifies and presents recommendations for quality improvement opportunities; Assists with developing and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and other tools to support departmental quality management programs and continuous process improvement initiatives. Prepares internal and external quality data summaries to ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, CoC, and NY guidelines; participates in inspection preparedness efforts with AP Manager
• Quality Data Reporting, AP Laboratory Managers, Operations Director, Associate Director, and AP Lab Compliance Manager; Assists with internal AP audits and additional audits for survey readiness as necessary; Assist with distribution and tracking of alternative proficiency testing for pathologist interpretation; Maintains comprehensive knowledge of laboratory regulatory requirements and ensures the confidentiality of sensitive documents or information; Performs administrative functions including scheduling meetings, data entry, document management, scanning, filing, and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Health Sciences, Computer Science or relevant field.
