Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Child and Family Therapist to provide direct treatment services in a clinic setting to clients with mental and emotional disturbances which includes children, adolescents, and parents; administration and evaluation of psychological tests; developing individual treatment plans; providing counseling and individual, family and/or group therapy; providing Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (5% increase once certified in PCIT).

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.*
  • Two years of relevant mental health experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the above described duties and which would qualify the individual to be designated as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • LCSW/LPC or willingness to pursue licensure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat mental illness and emotional disturbances and work effectively with severely agitated or distressed individuals.
  • Willing to work with all ages of children (0-18).
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports; and maintain client treatment and progress records.
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) certification or begin certification process upon hire.
  • All Master level QMHP’s must be credentialed as a mental health investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other programs, other agencies and professionals and the general public.
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices, principles and philosophy of mental health treatment, interviewing and counseling techniques and psychological testing and its application to the diagnosis and treatment of clients.
  • Must be able and willing to schedule work in a flexible manner, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.
  • Must be able to complete 40 hour Peer Delivered Services training and register as a Traditional Health Worker- Family Support Partner with The Office of Equity and Inclusion within 90 days of hire
