Core Lead, the Management Intern, Innovation Center Operations will support the professional development, engagement, and overall success of

AI Cic

student workers. This position will have particular responsibility for supporting student time and project management, coordinating professional development opportunities, facilitating student engagement and networking, and helping maintain a positive and collaborative student experience within the

AI Cic.

The Management Intern, Innovation Center Operations will work closely with the

AI Cic

Core Lead, student workers, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, track project and student progress, identify opportunities for professional growth, and support events and initiatives that strengthen the

AI Cic

student community. This position will also contribute to broader programmatic priorities, special projects, and day-to-day operational needs, providing a student-focused perspective and helping ensure the effective implementation and success of

AI Cic

programs and initiatives. As with all members of the Enterprise Technology team, this role carries core responsibilities, including fostering a sense of belonging and cultivating a culture that is relational, visionary, and empowering. With a strong emphasis on authenticity and compassion, this position is dedicated to embodying and advancing our culture. Position Salary Range: $21.20 - $24.00 per hour; depending on experience Essential Duties:

  • Supports the

Core Lead with the coordination, administration, and day-to-day management of

AI Cic

student worker activities, projects, communications, and engagement initiatives.

  • Supports student time and project management by helping track student availability, assignments, project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines; identifies potential scheduling or workload concerns and communicates relevant updates to the

AI Cic Asu

Core Lead.

  • Supports student professional development through the coordination of workshops, training opportunities, mentorship activities, career development programming, and other experiences designed to strengthen students’ technical, professional, and leadership skills.
  • Helps develop and coordinate student engagement and networking opportunities, including Tech Days, professional networking events, industry engagement activities, alumni events, team-building activities, and other

programs and initiatives.

  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships with

AI Cic

student workers, helping foster a collaborative, inclusive, and engaged student community.

  • Serves as a resource and point of contact for student questions related to

AI Cic

programming, events, professional development opportunities, project coordination, and day-to-day activities, escalating issues to the

AI Cic

Core Lead when appropriate.

  • Supports student onboarding and integration into the AI CIC, including coordinating onboarding activities, sharing program resources and expectations, and helping students become familiar with available professional development and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborates with

AI Cic

staff, faculty, alumni, industry partners, and other university stakeholders to identify and coordinate opportunities for students to expand their professional networks and gain exposure to careers in AI, cloud computing, technology, project management, and related fields.

  • Maintains accurate student and program records, trackers, schedules, and documentation to support effective program administration and decision-making.
  • Assists with planning, coordinating, and executing

AI Cic

events and student programming, including logistics, communications, materials, participant coordination, and follow-up.

  • Supports the development and implementation of processes, resources, and tools that improve student engagement, communication, project coordination, and overall program operations.
  • Collects and organizes student feedback and engagement data to help identify areas for improvement and inform future

AI Cic

programming and student support.

  • Collaborates with the

AI Cic

team on special projects, process improvements, and emerging priorities, providing administrative, coordination, and project management support as assigned.

  • Performs other duties and provides administrative and programmatic support as assigned in alignment with the needs and priorities of the AI Cloud Innovation Center.
  • Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit’s efficiency and overall performance.
  • Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.
  • Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs. Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a student-focused, academic, technology, innovation, or professional development environment.
  • Experience supporting student programs, internships, fellowships, experiential learning, or similar initiatives.
  • Experience with project coordination or project management, including tracking deliverables, deadlines, schedules, and team activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete assigned activities within established timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, alumni, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, emerging technologies, or the technology industry.
  • Experience coordinating events, workshops, networking opportunities, professional development activities, or student engagement programs.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, including Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar, and Drive, to support communication, tracking, scheduling, documentation, and program operations.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities while also working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, adapt to changing priorities, and proactively identify opportunities to improve student experiences and program operations.
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies, generative AI, or related technical concepts is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.
