VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, space and industrial applications, is currently searching for Mechanical Engineering students interested in obtaining a Summer 2027 internship position. This internship will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both an R&D and manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced engineers who are leaders in their field. Interns will contribute to a range of engineering tasks including:
- Create and modify dimension drawings of custom mechanical hardware and fixtures used in production
- Create and modify assembly documentation such as drawings, travelers, and procedures
- Learn and create basic programs on VPT's CNC type equipment (e.g. waterjet, automated adhesive dispenser, etc.)
- Observe and monitor experiments and tests in the lab such as steady state temperature measurements Qualifications:
- Must currently be studying Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering. Recent graduates in one of these programs will also be considered for the role.
