• 4:30PM Hours Per Week 40 Job Description Manages revenue integrity process to ensure accurate and timely changes are captured. Performs a variety of duties related to compliance for charging patient services and supplies. Priorities will include review of Charge Description Master for completeness and to establish charges for patient related services, procedures and supplies. Oversees APC program by implementing changes and education of staff. Works independently providing consultation to departments and entities. Work is received by the Manager of Revenue Cycle. Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent in a combination of education and accumulated relevant experience
• Possess and maintain certification as follows: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H
• Experience in auditing for medical procedures code accuracy and completeness
• Minimum of three years experience in a health care setting, preferably at a large acute care facility
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare/ Medicaid guidelines required for compliance
• Experience in facilitating and training large and small groups and conducting one-on-one training
• Ability to effectively communicate with all departments that interface with the charge description master
• Ability to collect and analyze cost data and prepare reports and documents utilizing a computer and various software data bases. Preferred
• Auditing Certification
• Extensive experience with healthcare billing and reimbursement guidelines
• Charge audit experience
