We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead Asset Engineering to join our Gas Operations West team in Darwin on a full-time, permanent basis. Relocation assistance may be provided for the successful candidate. Reporting to the Head of Asset Operations & Engineering NT, you will provide engineering leadership across APA's Northern Territory gas transmission assets. Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will drive operations engineering, asset reliability, integrity management, stay-in-business capital delivery and the integration of major new assets into operations, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of critical energy infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to lead engineering outcomes across critical gas transmission assets, shaping asset strategy, safety, reliability and capital delivery while working at the forefront of northern Australia's energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities · Lead, support and develop the Northern Territory engineering team, creating a collaborative environment where people can do their best work. · Guide the delivery of engineering activities and projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality and reliable outcomes. · Develop and maintain engineering systems and procedures that support compliance with regulatory requirements, technical standards and APA requirements. · Build capability across the team through coaching, mentoring and development, ensuring team members have the support and resources they need to succeed. · Partner with operations, engineering and technical teams to solve problems and deliver shared business and operational outcomes. · Build strong relationships with contractors, clients and key stakeholders, while supporting effective budget planning and expenditure management. Your background · A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, with experience in gas transmission pipelines, energy infrastructure, process facilities, utilities or other asset-intensive industries. · Experience leading, mentoring or developing others, with a collaborative and supportive approach to leadership. · Knowledge of engineering systems, technical standards, procedures and regulatory requirements. · Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, operational and commercial teams. · Sound organisational and commercial skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to budget and expenditure management.
