Job Opportunity Casual Operator/Labourer The Town of Bishop’s Falls is currently accepting applications for casual Operators/Labourers who primarily work in the Public Works Department and are responsible for the following:
- Operating heavy equipment to implement public works services and programs.
- Maintaining the Town’s infrastructure. Casual Operators/Labourers may voluntarily join the Recreation Department's casual call-in list where they will be responsible for the following:
- Working in the Pat O’Reilly Memorial Stadium.
- Maintaining recreation facilities.
- Assisting with recreation programs and events. A complete job description can be obtained by contacting the Town Office. To qualify for this job, you need the following:
- Class 3 (Tandem)
- Class 5 (Standard Driver’s Licence)
- Class 8 (Traction)
- Class 9 (Air Brakes)
- Experience in operating heavy equipment
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (Recent) Wages, benefits, and other employment terms outlined in the Collective Agreement between the Town and CUPE Local 1349 apply. This competition is open until filled.
