The School Based Therapist 2 provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic services to students experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. This position delivers individual, family, and group therapy services while collaborating with school personnel, families, and treatment team members to support successful outcomes. • An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting healthy, joyful workforce engagement · Opportunity to provide meaningful services directly within local schools and communities · Diverse clinical experiences working with children, adolescents, and families · Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment teams and supportive leadership · Ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services Key Responsibilities: · Provide individual, family, group, and therapeutic counseling services to students based on treatment goals and clinical needs · Conduct comprehensive assessments, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment interventions · Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans that reflect client progress and evolving needs · Facilitate group therapy, psychoeducation, family sessions, and specialty therapeutic services, including trauma-informed and co-occurring treatment · Respond to crisis situations and coordinate emergency interventions as needed to support client safety and stabilization · Collaborate with school personnel, families, referral sources, and treatment team members to ensure coordinated care · Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical staffing, and case consultations to support positive client outcomes · Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and agency standards · Support successful transitions of care by completing discharge planning and transition documentation · Provide clinical consultation, training, and guidance regarding evidence-based practices and treatment approaches when appropriate · Represent the organization professionally within schools and the community while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders · Complete required training and perform additional duties as assigned Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: · Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field · Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) · Hold active licensure through the applicable state board of professional registration · Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment services · Experience conducting assessments, rendering diagnoses, and developing treatment plans · Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and behavioral health treatment principles · Experience providing individual, family, and group counseling services · Ability to provide telehealth services Additional Qualifications: · Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance · Must be willing to become licensed in additional states as needed · Must be willing and comfortable providing telehealth services; training will be provided · Must attain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter · Must attain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter · Must attain required de-escalation/intervention training within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date · Ability to establish effective relationships with students, families, school personnel, referral sources, and treatment team members · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Ability to manage caseload responsibilities, documentation requirements, and multiple priorities effectively · Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorder diagnostic criteria and treatment approaches · For school-based services programs, must be able to provide services at the school site during school operating hours · Successful completion of background screenings including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks Physical Requirements · Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally · Sit for extended periods while completing documentation, telehealth sessions, and other administrative tasks · Frequently use hands, fingers, and arms for typing, writing, and computer-based work · Occasionally walk or stand while providing services in school and community environments · Effectively communicate with clients, families, school personnel, and treatment team members Brightli is on a Mission: At Brightli, we are committed to changing and saving lives through compassionate, client-centered care.
