Description Machine Operator Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing | Van Buren, Indiana Starting Pay: $21.00/hour Day Shift: 4:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m. Night Shift: 4:30 p.m.–4:45 a.m., with a $3.00/hour night shift premium Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation with every other weekend off Keep Production Moving. About the Role As a Machine Operator, you’ll operate and monitor production and packaging equipment to keep popcorn production running safely and efficiently. You’ll make equipment adjustments, complete quality and food-safety checks, and work with your team to meet production goals. What You’ll Do
- Safely operate and monitor production and packaging equipment.
- Make equipment adjustments and troubleshoot minor operating issues.
- Inspect products and complete required quality and food-safety checks.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation requirements, and safety procedures.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Report equipment problems, safety concerns, and quality issues promptly.
- Communicate equipment conditions, production updates, and outstanding issues during shift handoffs.
- Work with your team to meet production goals and identify ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. What We’re Looking For

- Availability to work the assigned day or night shift on a 2-2-3 rotation, including every other weekend. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required. Training is provided. Your Schedule Our 2-2-3 rotation provides built-in days off and every other weekend off. You’ll work two days, have two days off, and work three days. The following week, you’ll have two days off, work two days, and have three days off. Pay and Benefits Compensation
- Starting pay of $21.00/hour .
- Average annual earnings of $50,232 ; actual earnings vary based on hours worked and applicable premiums. • $0.50/hour raise after 90 days .
- Additional $0.50/hour raise after six months . • $3.00/hour night shift premium . Benefits

- Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely. Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents.
- Basic math and computer/data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with focus on quality and accuracy.
