• Services and oversees repairs of all electrical equipment as required to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop
• Dismantles and reassembles/rebuilds equipment
• Fabricates parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs
• Diagnoses complex mechanical equipment problems
• Adherence to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt Rentals Management including company vehicle upkeep
• Provides training and mentoring to other mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenance
• Provides training and assistance to customers on operation on Load Banks
• Conducts preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and down time in the field
• Make ready and receive low and medium voltage cables, all AC & DC Load Banks, power distribution items, and transformers for our rental customers
• Troubleshoot/repair small load banks, resistor racks on large load banks, power distribution items, and low voltage cables
• Assesses time and cost of repairs
• Attends and participates in all Profit Center Meetings
• Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.
• Performs safety inspections on equipment
• Available for on call emergency service as scheduled
• Operate basic and advanced hand tools, metering tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, and shop tools
• Maintains a clean and safe shop work environment
• Adheres to all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements
• Attends all training and manufacturing training as directed
• Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager Base Pay Range: $21.84
• 31.39 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
