Pull-A-Part is seeking an experienced Regional Commercial Manager to lead commercial vehicle acquisitions across our North Market. This position leads and develops a team of Commercial Buyers responsible for building strong supplier relationships and increasing vehicle acquisitions throughout Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Akron, Canton, and Cleveland. Your Impact The Regional Commercial Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by increasing vehicle supply, managing acquisition costs, developing commercial accounts, and ensuring each market achieves its volume, pricing, and profitability goals. What You'll Do as a Regional Commercial Manager
  • Lead, coach, and develop Commercial Buyers throughout the North Market.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase commercial vehicle acquisitions and grow supplier accounts.
  • Establish and monitor acquisition volume, pricing, margin, account growth, and supplier-development goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial vehicle sources, including towing companies, automotive repair facilities, dealerships, auctions, fleet operators, salvage yards, recyclers, scrap suppliers, municipalities, charities, and other automotive businesses.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities and support buyers in developing prospects into long-term supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate vehicle pricing, purchasing agreements, transportation arrangements, and service expectations.
  • Monitor acquisition costs, vehicle quality, scrap values, transportation expenses, competitor activity, and changing market conditions.
  • Evaluate buyer performance through field visits, acquisition results, pricing discipline, territory coverage, supplier activity, and account retention.
  • Partner with store leadership, dispatch, transportation, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure vehicles are acquired and transported efficiently.
  • Prepare forecasts, performance reports, and action plans to address opportunities and underperforming markets.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable title, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned North Market territory. What You'll Bring as a Regional Commercial Manager
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive purchasing, vehicle acquisition, salvage, recycling, scrap-metal buying, or a related industry.
  • Experience leading buyers, sales representatives, purchasing teams, or multi-location operations.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle values, salvage economics, scrap-metal markets, and acquisition-cost management.
  • Proven ability to develop commercial accounts and negotiate with business owners and key decision-makers.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation, and performance-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze acquisition volume, pricing, margins, transportation costs, and supplier-performance data.
  • Strong technology skills, including Microsoft 365 and experience with CRM and business-reporting systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new software, mobile applications, and technology-based business tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently throughout the North Market. Preferred Experience
  • Experience within automotive recycling, self-service salvage, scrap metal, vehicle auctions, towing, or vehicle remarketing.
  • Established relationships within the automotive, towing, salvage, recycling, or scrap-metal industries.
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed team.
  • Familiarity with vehicle-title requirements and automotive purchasing regulations. What Success Looks Like The successful Regional Commercial Manager will be a hands-on leader who can develop people, build strong commercial relationships, identify new sources of vehicle supply, and use market and performance data to drive profitable growth across multiple locations.
