Duties

• Create low-complexity technical requirements for data engineers, translating functional requirements into technical needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain key indicators for programs necessary to deliver findings in a user-friendly and professional format that clearly communicates information and presents results in a relevant.
• Develop operational policies to integrate data gathering and analysis into standard centralized data and analytics platform augmentation processes and procedures.
• Ensure that use case and development evaluation techniques are robust, precise, and responsive enough to provide defensible recommendations to top-level agency leadership.
• Evaluate and make recommendations concerning overall plans and proposals for general financial and accounting projects impacting the accomplishment of various Strategic Initiative objectives. GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Applying basic principles of accounting, budgeting, or financial management to perform routine tasks; assisting with the collection and review of financial data or transactions for accuracy and completeness; using automated systems to input and extract financial information; and preparing simple reports or summaries in a prescribed format. This work is performed under close supervision as part of a developmental assignment to increase knowledge of financial management principles and practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. (Note: you must attach a copy of your transcripts. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. • Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR (2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.)
• Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR (3) Honor Society Membership

GS-09 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes : Assisting in the analysis of financial or budgetary information by applying a series of established methods and practices; compiling and summarizing financial data from various sources for use by senior analysts; translating organizational needs into budget requirements by line item and object class; and identifying and recommending solutions to routine financial or budgetary issues. This experience is typically performed under supervision and within a framework of established procedures and precedents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Planning and carrying out assignments to analyze financial or budgetary information; applying established analytical methods and techniques to evaluate financial programs and services; interpreting and adapting guidelines such as agency policies, regulations, and precedents to resolve commonly encountered problems; and providing recommendations to management on financial operations based on data analysis. This experience must demonstrate the ability to independently perform these duties in conformance with accepted financial, accounting, or budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
