• Joining Product Operations The Manager, Joining Product Operations serves as the operational anchor for Capital One’s Talent Acquisition funnel, taking full ownership of production stability, user enablement, platform governance, and vendor performance across our recruiting technology suite. Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role bridges the gap between Product/Tech delivery and business execution—ensuring seamless operational continuity, strict regulatory compliance, and high-quality end-user experiences across all hiring platforms. Key Responsibilities Production Operations & Independent Execution
• Autonomous Delivery: Own end-to-end execution for core operational deliverables and system processes that do not require direct Product or Tech engineering bandwidth.
• Operational Transparency: Establish clear reporting, SLA tracking, and operational visibility across all production workflows to ensure alignment with broader business priorities.
• System Stability & Issue Management: Act as the primary operational point of contact for production escalations, rapidly diagnosing issues and driving cross-functional resolution. User Enablement & Documentation Excellence
• Product & Release Alignment: Partner closely with Product Management to stay synchronized with product roadmaps, ensuring operational readiness and seamless rollout of new features.
• Documentation Step-Changes: Modernize and maintain user-facing documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and self-serve resources to dramatically improve searchability, accuracy, and depth.
• Training & Adoption: Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive training frameworks and learning assets to enable recruiting teams, hiring managers, and operations staff. Vendor Governance & Compliance
• Vendor Operations: Manage third-party technology vendor relationships within the recruiting ecosystem to maintain high performance standards, enforce SLAs, and guarantee reliable data access.
• Regulatory Oversight: Safeguard platform compliance with internal risk management standards and external legal/regulatory requirements across all talent acquisition data pipelines and vendor integrations. Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in product operations, business operations, tech operations, or process management
• At least 2 years of experience creating and maintaining user documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, or release communications
• At least 2 years of experience managing enterprise software platforms, vendor operations, or system workflows
• At least 2 years of experience analyzing operational data or system metrics to inform business decisions Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition operations, HR technology, or enterprise recruitment systems (e.g., Workday, Phenom, ATS/CRM tools)
• Demonstrated success managing third-party vendor relationships, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory/compliance requirements
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering alongside Product, Tech, Risk/Legal, and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with process improvement frameworks, Agile methodologies, or project management practices
• Experience building data visualizations or reporting dashboards (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight, Excel) to track operational health and SLAs At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
