Read about our story here: Canadian Energy- Our Story About the position: The Branch Associate will be responsible for providing customer service at the front counter and over the phone while also supporting warehouse operations as needed. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with walk-in customers, answering customer inquiries by telephone, and learning about Canadian Energy products to help customers find the right solutions for their needs. Each customer's needs are unique, and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable using their product knowledge to provide helpful and creative solutions. In addition to customer service responsibilities, the Branch Associate will assist with order processing, inventory, shipping and receiving, and general warehouse duties as required. This position is a great opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a wide variety of tasks and gain valuable experience in customer service, office administration, invoicing, inventory organization, and warehousing. As a Canadian Energy team member, a typical week will include the following: Customer Service. Provide an exceptional experience for walk-in customers at the front counter and customers contacting the branch by telephone. Assist customers with product inquiries, order placement, and product selection. Identify opportunities to provide additional value to customers by offering relevant products and services or consolidating their purchases. Operations. Assist with administration i.e., issue invoices and manage customer accounts in Company ERP system (NetSuite) including order-taking, order-entry and order fulfillment . Shipping and Receiving. Support warehouse operations as needed, including labeling products, preparing shipping documentation, completing inventory counts, and general warehouse cleanup and maintenance. Depending on business needs, this position may require loading and unloading trucks and trailers, putting away stock, and picking orders. Safety. Consistently uphold all company culture, health and safety, security and operational policies and procedures. Proficient knowledge of safe material handling techniques. Equipment. Safely operate power and manual lift equipment. This position will be required to drive a forklift at times. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location. This position is located in Calgary, AB. Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a counter service, retail, parts, distribution, or similar environment.
- Comfortable assisting walk-in customers and handling customer inquiries by telephone.
- Class 5 Driver's License.
- Able to consistently and safely lift 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow direction.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is an asset.
- Experience operating a forklift is an asset.
- Ability to pass a background check and provide a driver's abstract. Compensation:
