Job Title: Kitchen Porter Department: Kitchen Reports to: Head Chef The Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club located on the banks of the River Slaney in Co. Wexford have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a fast-paced team in our Kitchen. Job Purpose: We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring hygiene and health standards are met at all times. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in the basic preparation of food as required by chefs.
- Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are kept clean and organised.
- Handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recycling responsibly.
- Assist with unloading and storing deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Support the kitchen team with any additional duties as required.
- Participate in team training sessions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices. Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
