We're BlueCat—a Great Place to Work for good reason. Our team solves critical network challenges for some of the world's largest organizations. In simple terms, we manage the systems that keep networks running smoothly, securely, and reliably—the backbone infrastructure that powers digital transformation for enterprises globally. Our Intelligent Network Operations platform delivers and enables AI-driven agentic ops at scale, automating and simplifying how companies manage, secure, and optimize their networks. But what makes us different is how we work: we believe great work happens in an environment where you're trusted, heard, and supported. With teams globally, we're building a workplace culture that values collaboration and integrity as much as innovation. If you're looking to advance your career with a company that invests in its people, this is it. We're seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team! About the role: You will help own the CI/CD pipelines, build tooling and test infrastructure that let us build, test, secure and ship enterprise software. Our products are delivered across virtual, cloud and hardware platforms, so the automation behind them is large and spans multiple environments. You will help keep it fast, reliable and reproducible. You'll learn much of our stack on the job, with support from the team. What you'll do:
- Maintain and extend Jenkins pipelines and shared libraries.
- Support the migration of GitLab pipelines to Jenkins.
- Build, package and test Python and Java applications as Docker images, using Gradle and Make-based builds.
- Maintain Terraform and Ansible automation for test environments across cloud and on-prem platforms.
- Support provisioning across virtualization platforms and supporting test infrastructure.
- Support system, upgrade and performance test automation, including scheduling and environment allocation.
- Run and tune security and static analysis scanning pipelines.
- Monitor pipeline and test health and report on trends.
- Improve pipeline speed, reliability and failure triage. What we're looking for: Required
- 3+ years in DevOps, release engineering or build/infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience, ideally with Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, including building images and running containerized workloads.
- Experience in Java or Python, including building, packaging and testing applications.
- Linux administration and Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with Git and GitLab workflows, including GitLab runners.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud or virtualization platform (AWS, Azure, GCP or VMware).
- Strong troubleshooting skills. Nice to have (we'll help you learn)
- Terraform and Ansible.
- Gradle or Make-based builds.
- Jenkins Groovy and shared libraries.
- Hyper-V, KVM or bare-metal provisioning.
- Security scanning tools.
- Kubernetes. Key competencies:
- Ownership and reliability.
- Automation-first mindset.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Clear written communication, including runbooks. Success in the first year:
- 30 days: Understand the pipeline topology, release flow and provisioning stack.
- 90 days: Own a pipeline area and measurably reduce its failure rate or run time.
- 6 months: Deliver an infrastructure improvement end to end.
- 12 months: Be a go-to owner for CI/CD reliability.
