Founded in 1909, Mehiläinen is a rapidly growing healthcare company that strongly invests in the possibilities of digitalisation and innovation. We are on a journey towards an ambitious goal: to be the leading healthcare company in Europe by 2030. Our growth story has already taken us to seven countries. We are now looking for a Development and Project Manager, Finance to join our Finance team, based in Helsinki, Kamppi. Someone who works at the intersection of finance, technology and business development, and who can turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This work takes place in a dynamic environment, as Mehiläinen completes several acquisitions every year, also abroad, and operates across multiple countries. In this role you will participate finance system and process development initiatives, at Group level, involving our core finance systems and platforms. You combine a strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls with hands-on expertise in finance system development, automation, integrations, data analytics and AI. You will drive efficiency through AI across part of the finance functions. Key responsibilities
- Manage global enterprise transformation programs involving D365 F&O, business process harmonization, and complex multi-vendor environments.
- Manage finance system development, API and integration projects, from requirements definition through testing and implementation.
- Drive process automation using for example Power Platform, UiPath StudioX and other tools, reducing manual work and improving data quality and controls.
- Drive efficiency through AI — designing, building and implementing AI-driven solutions, including agents in the D365 environment, to automate and improve finance processes.
- Act as AI Product Owner for the finance area — defining, prioritising and owning key AI development initiatives.
- Improve the efficiency of finance support functions across all countries we operate in, for example by streamlining accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure prioritisation of the development portfolio based on impact and feasibility, and measure the benefits of development initiatives (time savings, automation levels, accuracy and reduced error).
- Support the Finance organisation in the implementation and adoption of new tools and improved processes.
- Contribute to finance system and process roll-outs in acquired companies — and take the project manager role on individual roll-outs. You act as a bridge between finance professionals, business stakeholders, IT teams and external vendors — from requirements and process design through testing, implementation and continuous development. This is an internationally oriented role with including also travelleing to our other countries of operation when needed. Scope of impact
- Geographic reach: Mehiläinen operates in seven countries and completes several acquisitions every year — your development work spans finance processes and systems internationally, not just in Finland.
- Organizational reach: as a Group-level role, your solutions and initiatives reach finance and support functions in every country we operate in.
- Stakeholder network: you collaborate closely with finance professionals, Controllers, IT teams, business stakeholders and external vendors across a complex multi-vendor environment.
- Depth of influence: as AI Product Owner for finance, you define and drive the group-wide direction for automation and AI initiatives in finance — shaping how the function works, not just executing individual projects. Requirements In this Development and Project Manager role you combine strong project, process and stakeholder-management capabilities with solid technical understanding of financial systems, in order to translate business needs into practical, technical solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in development work, having previously led development initiatives or projects.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Proven track record of implementing AI-driven solutions in a finance or business context.
- Hands-on expertise in finance system development; automation, integrations, data analytics and AI.
- Experience with finance systems such as D365 F&O and Rillion Prime
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Experience with process automation and tools such as Power Platform or UiPath StudioX and ability to build solutions such as agents in the D365 environment.
- Fluent English is required; Finnish is considered an advantage.
- Relevant higher education degree (e.g., M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration).
- The ability to work in a constantly changing environment across multiple development initiatives at the same time — you don't wait for ready-made assignments but identify development opportunities yourself and drive them forward. Personal success factors
- Credible, trustworthy presence — you build confidence with stakeholders across the organisation and in acquired companies.
- Self-driven and proactive — you advance initiatives on your own, without waiting to be asked.
- Growth mindset — you enjoy challenges and embrace opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.
- Hands-on, can-do attitude — you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take ownership.
- Comfort with ambiguity — you make pragmatic decisions even under pressure.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality and outcomes.
- Collaborative spirit that brings out the best in people around you. Why join Mehiläinen? We are all committed to acting in line with our values, and we believe the best results come from giving our experts freedom, responsibility, community and opportunities to grow. This Development and Project Manager role offers an opportunity to drive a broad, Group-level Finance development agenda and contribute to more efficient, scalable and AI-driven processes, systems and ways of working across all our countries of operation, with a strong focus on delivering measurable business value through transformation. We offer you the opportunity to work with modern technologies and innovative solutions in a challenging, internationally oriented role, alongside a professional and supportive team.
