Job: Lecturer of Biological Sciences Barnard is a premier liberal arts undergraduate college for women in New York City affiliated with Columbia University. Job Description: The Department of Biology at Barnard College, Columbia University, seeks a full-time Lecture, starting July 2027 with a specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology. The teaching load for this position is 6 courses per year. Teaching duties will include lecture and laboratory sections of Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology and upper-level lecture and laboratory courses in microbiology and / or biochemistry. As a full-time reviewed and renewable position, we expect Lecturers to participate fully in the life of the department and college, including advising, mentoring, service, and leadership. Lecturers are reviewed in their third year of full-time service, with the possibility for reappointment and consideration for promotion to Senior Lecturer in the seventh year. Subsequent reviews typically occur on a seven-year cycle. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements: Required Qualifications A Ph.D. is required. Prior experience or demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring diverse students is desirable. Application Requirements Applicants are required to upload the following documents.
