LW Mission: Reach People, Touch Lives, and Make a Difference Job Description The Ministry Action Team is a part-time, paid ministry opportunity designed primarily for young adults who want to grow in ministry while serving the practical needs of Living Word. This team is intended to provide Living Word with a dependable and flexible group of emerging ministry leaders who can step into areas where additional support is needed. It also provides team members with broad ministry experience, leadership development, and exposure to multiple areas of church ministry. Primary Responsibilities Team members will be assigned to areas of ministry based on the current needs and priorities of the church. Assignments will typically last for a season—approximately two to three months—with the goal of helping strengthen an area, develop volunteer support, and then transition to another ministry assignment. Examples of assignments may include:
- Supporting Saturday evening Kids Ministry
- Serving with Connections and Guest Experience on Sunday mornings
- Assisting with church-wide events and conferences
- Event setup, execution, teardown, and resetting ministry spaces
- Supporting ministry departments and projects during weekday office hours
- Other ministry priorities as assigned Qualifications
- Completion of LW Internship or involvement in DiscipleCo programming
- Must be 18 years of age
- 12-month commitment Living Word Standards
- Align with Living Word’s Statement of Faith
- Abide by Living Word’s Code of Christian Conduct
- Attend biweekly Tuesday morning Staff Prayer
- Attend one of the following services: Saturday at 5pm, Sunday at 9am or 11am. Regular Schedule of Hours Approximately 15-25 hours per week , generally including:
- Saturday: Approximately 4 hours
- Sunday: Approximately 6 hours
- Weekdays: One–two scheduled office/work days totaling approximately 8-15 hours Schedules may shift during conferences, special events, or other significant ministry weeks. For example, normal office hours may be moved to evenings or event hours when additional support is needed.
