Summary About the Position: This position is with the US Army Human Resources Command, located at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Duties

  • Execute reserve military personnel actions using automated human resource databases.
  • Evaluate written correspondence and supporting documents for compliance with regulatory eligibility requirements.
  • Research historical personnel records and precedents for complex military records resolution.
  • Answer telephonic and electronic inquiries from customers regarding reserve personnel policies and system procedures.
  • Compose official replies to complex inquiries concerning military reserve program administration.
  • Generate military documents and statistical reports utilizing office automation software. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes processing military personnel transactions in accordance with regulatory guidelines; compiling military personnel reports within automated database systems; and reviewing military personnel files for completeness of administrative documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
