LIFE: Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist is verantwoordelijk voor het promoten en verkopen van Tandem Diabetes‑producten en klinische diensten binnen een toegewezen regio. In deze rol werk je doelgericht aan het behalen van commerciële doelstellingen door **klinische acceptatie van Tandem’s insulinepomptherapie** te realiseren. Je identificeert potentiële klanten, bouwt sterke relaties op en ondersteunt zorgprofessionals bij het inzetten van Tandem‑oplossingen in de dagelijkse praktijk. Deze functie gaat verder dan sales alleen: je bent een **vertrouwde klinische partner** voor zorgverleners, patiënten en mantelzorgers, met een duidelijke focus op **type 1 diabetes**. Met jouw klinische expertise bied je inhoudelijke ondersteuning, training en educatie aan patiënten, artsen en hun teams. Je adviseert over de technische aspecten van insulinepomptherapie en speelt in op specifieke klinische en praktische vraagstukken om het gebruik van Tandem‑producten te stimuleren. Daarnaast verzorg je educatie over diabeteszelfmanagement, noodsituaties en beschikbare ondersteunende middelen, afgestemd op de behoeften van de klant. The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned territory. This role involves planning and achieving sales goals by gaining clinical acceptance of Tandem's insulin pump therapy products. The specialist will identify potential customers and develop business relationships to facilitate the use of Tandem Diabetes products and services. This position goes beyond merely hitting sales targets; it focuses on becoming a trusted clinical partner to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers—especially those managing the complexities of Type 1 diabetes. The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist will use their clinical expertise to provide account sales support and ongoing education directly to patients, physicians, and their staff. This includes discussing the technical aspects of insulin pump therapy and addressing any special considerations related to its use in the marketplace to drive sales. Additionally, the specialist will promote Tandem Diabetes products and services by offering education on various topics, such as diabetes self-management skills, emergency management, and community resources tailored to client needs. You will collaborate closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to enhance product adoption, improve patient outcomes, and build long-term advocacy for Tandem solutions.   • Beheren van jouw regio en realiseren (of overtreffen) van commerciële doelstellingen
  • Opbouwen en onderhouden van sterke relaties met zorgprofessionals (o.a. endocrinologen, diabetesverpleegkundigen en diabeteseducators)
  • Adviseren en trainen van zorgverleners en patiënten in insulinepomptherapie en diabetesmanagement
  • Signaleren van nieuwe kansen en versterken van bestaande samenwerkingen
  • Organiseren en geven van product‑ en educatietrainingen
  • Samenwerken met interne teams (Sales, Medical Affairs en Customer Support) voor een optimale klant‑ en patiëntbeleving
  • Registreren van activiteiten in het CRM‑systeem en werken conform wet‑ en regelgeving Dit breng jij mee
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om vertrouwen op te bouwen
  • Goede kennis van diabeteszorg, bij voorkeur type 1 diabetes en insulinepomptherapie
  • Commerciële mindset gecombineerd met klinisch inzicht
  • Zelfstandige en gestructureerde manier van werken
  • Ervaring met CRM‑systemen en digitale tools (zoals Microsoft Office en Teams)
  • Bereidheid om veel te reizen binnen Nederland (±80%)
  • Vloeiende beheersing van Nederlands en Engels Extra pluspunten
  • Ervaring in medical devices, farmaceutische sales of diabeteszorg • (Para)medische achtergrond zoals verpleegkunde of diëtetiek
  • Directe ervaring met of affiniteit met mensen die leven met diabetes

  • Cover your assigned territory to meet or exceed sales goals established by Sales Management.
  • Develop and execute strategies to address clinical concerns and retain existing relationships for Tandem Diabetes products and services.
  • Serve as a clinical and educational leader in your territory, with a strong focus on Type 1 diabetes management and insulin pump therapy.
  • Identify new business opportunities, build strong HCP relationships, and position Tandem as a trusted resource in the diabetes community.
  • Use available tools and resources efficiently to identify sales leads and validate prospective criteria.
  • Create value for providers by differentiating Tandem’s technology and services—especially versus legacy pump systems.
  • Promote Tandem’s market position, clinical advantages, and integrated approach to providers and prospects.
  • Schedule, deliver, and coordinate product training for patients, customers, and health care professionals (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, Endocrinologists).
  • Complete all product training, documentation, and HCP communication accurately and on time per company policy.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with HCPs to support sales objectives.
  • Manage the initial and ongoing recertification of contracted and non-contracted Tandem Pump Trainers.
  • Conduct educational sessions for patients to support diabetes education, insulin pump therapy, and advanced diabetes management skills.
  • Seek guidance from the Clinical Manager on technical and training-related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address post-sale product issues and identify additional patient education needs.
