US Lbm
Director of Software Engineering is responsible for leading the engineering strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of software solutions that enable critical business capabilities across the company. This leader oversees engineering teams, operating practices, talent development, and execution while partnering closely with Product and business leaders to deliver scalable, high-quality applications, integrations, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions.This role combines engineering leadership, organizational development, and technology modernization to accelerate business outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen US LBM's technology platform. Pay Rate What you will do
- Lead software engineering teams responsible for application development, integrations, modernization initiatives, and platform support.
- Partner closely with Product leadership to prioritize, plan, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.
- Establish engineering roadmaps and execution plans aligned to strategic business objectives.
- Build and develop high-performing engineering teams through coaching, mentoring, recruiting, and career development.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices, automation, and modern engineering methodologies.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Lead delivery across multiple initiatives while balancing speed, quality, cost, and operational excellence.
- Foster engineering excellence through architecture reviews, code quality standards, testing practices, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, product, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage technology vendors, platform relationships, and engineering budgets.
- Establish and maintain governance, compliance, operational, and support standards.
- Track and improve key engineering metrics including reliability, delivery predictability, quality, and team effectiveness. Required For All Jobs

- Participate in and complete assigned trainings. Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Master's Degree preferred. Experience Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
- 3+ years leading engineering managers, technical leaders, and software development teams.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions and integrations.
- Experience leading modernization, platform transformation, or cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience implementing cloud-native, automation, and AI-enabled technologies.
- Proven success building and retaining high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience partnering closely with Product Management and business stakeholders to deliver customer and business outcomes. Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of software engineering methodologies, application architecture, cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, and modern development practices.
- Ability to lead complex software initiatives from concept through implementation and production support.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational development, and talent management skills.
- Experience building engineering operating models that improve speed, quality, and predictability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Passion for continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies. Travel Requirements
