The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert in regards to all mattersrelating to sensitive activities and as such accomplishes difficult projects, programs, and/orassignments related to formulating effective utilization of sensitive activity techniques and capabilities. Duties

  • As the Sensitive Activities Specialist, incumbent is responsible for providing subject matter expertise for operational planning and execution.
  • Serve as the sensitive activities support officer and as such accomplish difficult projects, programs, or assignments related to evaluating and reviewing tools and techniques.
  • Serve as the project development expert and guide new initiatives and programs toward a desired end-static. Authors and develops sensitive activity plans and coordinates the staffing process. Qualifications This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; and/or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Expert knowledge of intelligence, counter-intelligence. and OPSEC in special operations activities in order to analyze, evaluate, and interpret current requirements and new developments. Skills and Abilities

(KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Expert knowledge of all aspects of worldwide sensitive activities and employment mission requirements, including offensive and defensive employment operations for all air assets. 2. Knowledge joint special operations doctrine to include domestic and overseas command relationships with the ability to interpret and evaluate sensitive activity guidance and applications. 3. Demonstrated expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating polices, programs, standards, and procedures to meet classified mission requirements. 4. Knowledge of DoD and USAF polices on special access programs controls and procedures, document control and accountability. 5. Demonstrated ability to communicate to high ranking officials orally, and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately, 6. Proven ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers, subordinates, high-ranking officials and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

Conditions of Employment

CONTINUED: Employee must possess and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI and SAP access in order to perform duties and responsibilities of this position. This is a testing designated position. Drug testing by urinalysis is required prior to entry to the job and may be accomplished randomly as a condition of continued employment. Member must be psychologically screened. Position requires occasional temporary duty travel (CONUS and OCONUS), utilizing any or all modes of commercial and military transportation. Requires possessing and maintaining a valid State Driver's License to enable operation of government and privately owned motor vehicles. This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TOP) under the Air Force Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is to refrain from use of illegal drugs and if requested, to submit to urinalyses testing. Incumbent must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is Testing Designated Position.

EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
