Summary You will serve as a
Composite Fabricator Training Leader
in the
Mro Prodution Dept
of
Fltreadcen Southeast.
Duties
- You will conduct training sessions designed to update, improve, and upgrade the knowledge and skills of others by selecting, modifying, and using various instructional methods and techniques.
- You will keep necessary progress records and, in conjunction with the shop supervisor, evaluate the trainees progress, makes recommendations for additional training as appropriate.
- You will develop and administer quizzes or formal examinations to test progress of the class and adequacy of training.
- You will conduct formal/informal or on-the-job training with topics such as Composite/Structural Adhesive Bonding, Blueprint Reading, etc. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: journeyman-level knowledge and hands-on experience in composite/plastic fabrication and aircraft structural repair, with the ability to instruct apprentices, trainees, and shop personnel in both classroom and on-the-job settings. The selectee must be fully qualified in the trade, maintain required special skill certifications in composite, metal-to-metal, and titanium bonding, and be able to read and apply complex blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering data to production and repair work. Candidates should demonstrate skill in advanced composite repair methods, bonding processes, shop equipment and precision measuring tools, as well as strong communication, recordkeeping, and training-development abilities, including lesson planning, progress evaluation, and use of computers.
