Job Description Purpose of the role To plan, develop and implement brand strategies, based on research and analysis, that align with the overall business objectives to protect and enhance its market presence and position Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of brand assets and guidelines that define how the brand looks, sounds and feels across all touchpoints.
  • Collaboration with creative teams, advertising agencies, and other partners (internal and external) to create compelling and effective brand campaigns that enhance brand awareness, loyalty and engagement.
  • Analyse brand performance KPIs, brand competitiveness and product trends in the marketplace.
  • Budget management (if applicable) for brand-related activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and a positive return on investment. Assistant Vice President Expectations
  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

  • OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments.   • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

Join us as a Media Manager (6-month Secondment) within Barclays UK, where you will act as a key advisor and coordinator for paid media planning and brand marketing . Working closely with our media agency, brand, content and growth marketing teams, you will provide strategic media guidance, support campaign delivery, and ensure alignment across internal and external stakeholders. You will also play a pivotal role in building paid media capability across the wider Marketing and Customer & Digital teams, delivering learning and development that helps colleagues better understand and navigate the evolving paid media landscape. To be successful as a Media Manager, you should have:
  • Previous experience working within marketing/advertising.
  • Ability to coach, train, or support the development of colleagues through learning and development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for continuous learning, with an interest in developing expertise in paid media and advertising. Some other highly valued skills may include:
  • Previous experience working directly within paid media.
  • Previous experience supporting or delivering paid media elements of advertising campaigns. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role will be based in London, Glasgow or Northampton.
