DUL / Trunnion Inspection Coordinator Technician IV (In-Plant)

Summary of Description: The Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline and based on experience the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. Could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, controls, etc. Duties:
• Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned.
• Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least sixteen (16) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. License Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement Specific Skills:
• Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
• Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
• Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
• Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
• Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
• Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. Requirements * Due to being an in-plant position, the below referenced Job Duties have been provided by the client: Primary Responsibilities: For the purposes of this position, Dummy Legs and Trunnions will be abbreviated as DUL / Trun The DUL / Trun Inspection Coordinator will be responsible for:
• Walking down and documenting all DULs and trunnions throughout the facility.
• Coordinating rope access crews to visually inspect and verify that DUL / Trun installations meet site requirements, including: o Verification that weep holes are installed at the low point and as close to the parent substrate as practical. o Verification that the DUL / Trun slope promotes drainage away from the parent substrate.
• Coordinating rope access and mechanical crews to install or relocate weep holes when deficiencies are identified.
• Coordinating rope access and ground-based soft craft crews for: o Scaffolding support o Insulation removal and replacement o Coating and paint repairs o Access to insulated piping systems
• Coordinating rope access and ground-based NDE crews to perform required inspections.
• Performing borescope inspections through weep holes, or coordinating borescope inspections when additional resources are required.
• Tracking inspection progress, identified deficiencies, corrective actions, and overall project status.
• Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Inspection, and Maintenance teams to prioritize and execute inspection activities.
