Social Worker (Clinical)

Summary About the Position: U.S. Army Health Clinic Hohenfels is co-located with the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) one of the seven directorates falling under the leadership of U.S. Army Europe's 7th Army Training Command and provides quality ambulatory care for more than 6,000 Soldiers and their families, while coordinating and facilitating inpatient and specialty care with nearby German host nation medical facilities and DoD partners. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties

• Serve as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing Mental Health Services and Crisis Intervention for beneficiaries in the mental health program.
• Provide a full range of clinical services to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Treat complex personal, family, and environmental problems that predispose to illness or interfere with effective medical care.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for emergency services and crisis intervention within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Mental Health Service.
• Responsible for the development of new initiatives and programs, and modified or new treatment protocols. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Clinical): Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes treating both adults and children patients by providing individual and/or group therapy, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing emergency mental health services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
