- Psychology (Open) Department: Psychology Department, PM Position Type: Regular Open Date: 09-30-2026 Close Date: $70,000 - $73,000 Job Description: Job Summary: The Department of Psychology at Salisbury University invites applications for a Fall 2027 Visiting Assistant Professor. The primary duty will be to teach 6 Psychology courses per academic year. This Visiting Assistant Professor would be expected to teach a range of courses including General Psychology, Psychological Statistics and Research Methods. The ideal candidate would also be able to teach in the Cognitive Science Minor which includes cognitive psychology and neuroscience courses. This position requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching as well as a commitment to engaging in scholarship commensurate with the school's mission, and service/outreach to the University. Authority and Accountability: This position reports to the Chair of the Psychology Department and has no direct reports or budget authorization responsibility. Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Psychology or Neuroscience
- ABD near completion will be considered Preferred Qualifications:
- Teach Cognitive and Neuroscience courses
- Ability to teach General Psychology
- Ability to teach Statistics and Methods Additional Job Information: The position is a Contingent II, full-time, exempt position. Priority will be given to applicants who apply by October 29, 2026.
