Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security compliance.
- Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter), including provisioning, configuration, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
- Perform OS and hypervisor patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation with minimal downtime and clear change documentation.
- Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, networking, and guest OS layers.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery processes; regularly validate restore procedures and disaster recovery readiness.
- Manage Active Directory services including user/group administration, GPOs, DNS/DHCP integration, and authentication troubleshooting.
- Support virtualization operations such as VM builds, templates, snapshots, resource allocation, and cluster/HA/DRS configurations.
- Collaborate with security and operations teams to enforce hardening standards, access controls, and audit requirements.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures; mentor junior administrators as needed.
