• Access to novated leasing, offering a tax-effective way to finance your next vehicle How You’ll Make a Difference Reporting to the Head of Marine Standards, your key responsibilities will include:
• Provide marine expertise and support for the Svitzer Australia (particularly West Coast) operating region.
• Delivery of Master’s training in specific locations, ensuring that all training plans are implemented in coordination with Port teams.
• Provide dedicated training and mentoring for both new and existing operators to achieve required competencies and skill levels.
• Develop, conduct and evaluate simulation-based courses with emphasis on creating and coordinating life-like scenarios and props for educational purposes.
• Review of on water marine incidents that may require training improvements and contributing to Marine Standards investigations regarding operational incidents.
• Provide operational marine expertise when engaging with clients, port authorities and other external stakeholders. What You’ll Bring To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
• Prior experience as a Tug Master operating omnidirectional tugs.
• Minimum Master 45m Near Coastal Certificate of Competency or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to key stakeholders.
• Ability to collect and analyse data, identify trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work. Proven computer literacy with competency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
