About You You're a thoughtful UX designer who enjoys turning real user needs into clear, usable digital experiences. • Take ownership of your work while collaborating closely with product, development, UX writing, and QE partners. Your Impact As a UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience of CareerSafe products by connecting user needs, product goals, and design intent before and during development. You'll create the flows, specifications, prototypes, and design guidance that help cross-functional teams make clear decisions and bring thoughtful experiences to life. In this role, you will:
• Design UX direction for assigned product features by connecting user needs, product goals, scope, flow, and usability before development begins.
• Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, prototypes, and detailed design specifications in Figma that clearly communicate intended interactions, interface states, accessibility considerations, and implementation requirements.
• Use reusable components, design systems, and established UX standards to create consistent and maintainable product experiences.
• Identify when research or usability testing is needed, conduct scoped research or testing, and translate findings and user feedback into actionable design recommendations.
• Partner closely with product managers and owners, developers, UX writers, and QE to work through questions, tradeoffs, feasibility considerations, and usability issues.
• Stay engaged through implementation by answering UX questions, participating in design and review discussions, updating designs when needed, and helping preserve approved UX intent through the finished product.
• Identify inconsistencies in UX patterns and documentation, propose corrections, and help keep approved standards clear and usable across design and frontend documentation. You'll help create a stronger connection between user needs and the products our teams build, while growing your design craft and influence over time. Requirements
• Experience designing digital products or software applications, with hands-on ownership across the UX process from problem definition and user flows through design, prototyping or specification, and implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Figma, including components, user flows, prototypes, responsive layouts, and design systems.
• Experience creating clear wireframes, mockups, flows, and design specifications that development teams can use to implement a feature.
• Experience using user research, usability testing, or user feedback to inform and improve design decisions.
• Experience collaborating with product managers or owners and software developers in a product development environment.
• Familiarity with design systems and shared UX standards, with an interest in applying and improving them.
• Working knowledge of accessibility and usability considerations in digital product design.
• A portfolio demonstrating digital product or UX design work and your role in the design process.
• Willingness to remain engaged after design handoff to answer implementation questions and adjust designs as product or technical considerations emerge.
