- You will direct, plan and review the work of lower echelon safety programs to include safety officials and administrative staff in the execution of all regional and local mission objectives.
- You will design, schedule and conduct comprehensive facility and worksite inspections to evaluate regional compliance with federal, Department of War (DoW), Department of the Navy (DoN), and host nation safety standards.
- You will provide expert consulting, mentoring, and guidance to command personnel on safety regulations, engineering controls, and industry best practices.
- You will track and document all safety deficiencies, hazards, and corrective actions arising from annual inspections, industrial hygiene surveys, and safety reports. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing safety and occupational health programs. 2) Executing complex safety investigations. 3) Applying federal safety standards to include legislative, Department of War, and Department of Navy requirements. 4) experience independently inspecting worksites and identify physical hazards. 4) Maintaining mishap logs and preparing safety reports. 5) Deliver safety training. 6) Lead project teams with both in-person and remote personnel.
