Space Analyst

Summary Do you have experience managing and overseeing space and facilities requirements and assignments? As a Space Analyst you will work with the Space Planning and Management Branch Chief to manage NIH space requests and assignments. Duties As a Space Analyst for the Division of Facilities Planning, you will: Manage and oversee the review and approval process for space and facilities requirements and assignments for all areas within the NIH Institutes and Centers. Serve as the Space Analyst in the Space Planning Management Branch (SPMB) within the Division of Facilities Planning (DFP) and assure communications between the NIH research community and SPMB. Conduct analysis of all Space Requests (SRs) submitted for space, entailing complex scientific and administrative facilities for competing requirements. Manage, maintain, and monitor the electronic tracking system compromised of all Institute-submitted Space Requests (SRs) requesting space assignment, loan, or trade of space. Research, compile, and analyze a wide variety of information for the preparation of various reports to include the monthly report to the Space Recondensation Board (SRB). Qualifications To qualify for a Space Analyst GS-0301-13 position you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1.) Researching, compiling, and analyzing facilities space information for an organizational-wide space management program; 2.) communicating and facilitating space requests with organizational officials; 3.) Working with floor plan documenters to keep abreast of space management records; 4.) developing new approaches and solutions to problems in the design and allocation of space. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
