CNC Machinist (Night Shift)

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Graco Machinists run BOTH high production runs and low volume runs, depending on the department and product line. We use CAM systems to program. Our shop is pristine-clean, well lit, and climate controlled. All tools are provided. Shifts Available: 4pm – 4am, Sunday – Tuesday* (nights) *Work 36 hours

Machine types at Graco: Citizen Swiss lathes, Mazak, Index 5-axis, Hydromat, Mori Seiki, Robodrills, Haas CNC Machinist will operate CNC mills or lathes to safely produce parts that meet Graco quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner. What You Will Do at Graco
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines such as lathes or mills to produce metal or plastic parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by following housekeeping standards, company safety policies, and OSHA guidelines.
• Monitor tool conditions and adjust or replace as necessary.
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of machines. Comply with machine care and use procedures.
• Must read and understand layouts and blueprints, includes Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Support company quality policies and perform inspection procedures to ensure parts conform to blueprints.
• Provide accurate inventory counts.
• Use comparator, CMM, height gauge, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment as required.
• Perform necessary side operations such as deburring.
• Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support staff to operate to departmental standards including quality goals.
• Other duties as assigned. What You Will Bring to Graco
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass Graco checklist for Level 1 Machinist.
• Have completed at least a 2-year qualified machining program or have at least 4 years of equivalent prior machining experience.
• Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts.
• Proficient in use of a computer and ability to learn required applications.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for the position.
• Understand and comply with safety policies to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environment.
• Familiar with applicable tooling and support tool handling and use requirements.
• Mechanical ability to perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machines.
• Demonstrated skill in precision measurements.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. $29.10 - $31.50
