Optimisation Manager International Business Centre Chipping Sodbury Competitive Salary Our Chipping Sodbury office is located close to the market town of Yate, offering a range of local amenities and attractions. The Heidelberg Materials International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative, transactional and accounting services to in‑scope HM companies. Our Optimisation Managers combine systems expertise, project leadership, and process engineering to drive standardisation, automation, and business performance. It is an opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, leading cross-functional projects, and delivering lasting process and system improvements at scale Subject Matter Expertise

• Act as the recognised Subject Matter Expert for designated systems, processes, and technologies
• Provide expert technical guidance and support on complex process and system changes across multiple countries and/or functions
• Support international transitions, system deployments, and people development through expert knowledge and coaching
• Monitor system performance, investigate system issues, and drive timely resolution of any platform outages to ensure reliable and uninterrupted service delivery End to End Process Development
• Translate high-level business requirements into efficient, end-to-end processes
• Ensure all process and system changes align with global standards and future automation ambitions.
• Challenge existing ways of working and drive the adoption of best practice solutions
• Reduce process variation and complexity to create a more standardised and efficient operating model Deliver High-Impact Change Projects
• Manage project activities from design and testing through deployment and post-golive hypercare
• Facilitate process workshops, stakeholder reviews, and project governance meetings
• Monitor risks, dependencies, timelines, and benefits realisation to ensure successful delivery of small and large scale projects. Escalating to Deputy Head of Department when necessary
• Act as the BSC representative in senior decision-making forums, influencing outcomes and championing standardisation Experience
• Strong finance knowledge combined with experience in systems, process optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of shared service centre environments and/or multinational organisations.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects and change initiatives.
• Proficiency in enterprise systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar business platforms.
