Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W4JLAA
Strategic Systems Support Element.
Duties
- Oversee the overall program responsibilities for planning, developing, directing, and coordinating the integration of effective and efficient operating supply programs.
- Serve as the Command Supply Discipline Property (CSDP) officer and oversees all actions that impact or have the potential to impact squadron activities.
- Provide oversight to the squadron on all property and property book issues and oversees the management of the property book of multiple Unit Identification Codes (UIC).
- Review new or changed logistic procedures, polices and regulations from higher authority affecting assigned responsibilities, including personnel, and safety.
- Manage the unit's micro procurement program.
- Serve as a functional logistics expert and works closely with other functional personnel to resolve complex problems with recommended changes required in logistical management.
- Serve as the point of contact and advisor for auditors, inspectors, and investigators from every echelon.
- Oversee the management of several supply and logistical related automated systems such as the Property Book System Enhanced (PBUSE).
- Collaborate with superiors and subordinates to set and finalize target schedules, equipment, manpower, and resource allocations to meet all higher headquarters completion deadlines. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Directing the execution of property inspections, inventory audits, and corrective action plans to resolve asset discrepancies and investigator inquiries. 2. Serving as a senior logistics advisor providing authoritative guidance on property adjustment actions, (such as financial liability investigations of property loss (FLIPL)), and regulatory compliance. 3. Utilizing automated property book systems (such as GCSS or PBUSE) to maintain total asset visibility, resolve audit discrepancies, and establish internal control procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-13). Education NOTE: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
