In this role, you will be responsible for bidding on freight, sourcing capacity, negotiating freight rates, and building long-term relationships with both customers and carrier partners. • Source and develop relationships with carrier partners across the country
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while maximizing profitability
• Cover customer freight by securing reliable carrier capacity
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed
• Provide shipment updates and resolve service issues quickly
• Maintain accurate load and carrier information in company systems
• Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier partners
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 year of experience in freight brokerage/3PL space.
• Experience bidding on freight
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
• Established carrier network relationships
• Experience with truckload freight, both dry and refrigerated. Schedule
