Summary: Reporting to the Operations Manager (Front end
- Backroom), the Full Time Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day to day operation of a retail store department. Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
- Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
- Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
- Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
- Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
- Systematically receive P.O.’s that come into the building
- Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
- Promote company programs to team members and customers
- Perform tasks including folding, repackaging, sorting, facing and re-hanging of newly arriving Bass Pro/Cabela’s Canada product
- Physical count of all packages coming into the building and verify count with packing slip
- Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate Qualifications:
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work
- Open availability – this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise
- Ability to use good judgment and logic
- Steel toes work boots are required
- Must be able to obtain a PAL license
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
