Senior QA Engineer – Manual & Automation

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and exploratory test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation based on application requirements and user workflows.
• Perform functional testing across web and/or mobile applications, identifying defects, usability issues, edge cases, and potential quality risks.
• Execute regression testing to validate existing functionality and ensure new changes do not negatively impact the product.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected behaviors and gaps that may not be covered by predefined test cases.
• Perform basic test automation activities and contribute to automated regression coverage as needed.
• Work with and maintain existing automated tests using tools such as Appium and Playwright.
• Demonstrate a working understanding of automation concepts, test execution, and troubleshooting without requiring deep automation framework development experience.
• Support API testing and validation, including verifying responses, data integrity, authentication, error handling, and negative scenarios.
• Analyze test failures, investigate defects, review logs and application behavior, and help identify whether issues are related to the application, test automation, or environment.
• Identify quality risks, edge cases, and test coverage gaps, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, investigate defects, communicate testing results, and drive issues toward resolution.
• Apply AI-powered tools and techniques to support QA activities, such as test case generation, test documentation, test/code review, and testing optimization.
• Stay current with QA practices, testing tools, automation technologies, and emerging AI capabilities relevant to software testing.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to QA best practices, testing strategies, and defect prevention.
• Provide clear and actionable feedback regarding product quality, test results, defects, and potential risks. What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in QA/software testing, with strong hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Solid experience designing, executing, and maintaining manual and exploratory test cases and test plans.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Working knowledge of Appium and its use in mobile test automation.
• Working knowledge of Playwright and its use in web application test automation.
• Understanding of automation testing concepts and the ability to execute, review, troubleshoot, and contribute to automated tests.
• Experience with API testing and a basic understanding of API validation, responses, authentication, and error handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate defects and identify potential root causes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of software quality principles.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, product teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to independently learn new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.
• Experience on AI tools and technologies can support QA and software testing. Nice to have:
• Basic knowledge of Linux, including common commands and log review.
• Experience with Selenium and/or Selenium with Java.
• Experience with REST Assured or other API testing tools.
• Experience with Cypress.
• Experience with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience testing .NET applications or environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted development or testing tools such as Cursor.
• Exposure to AI-assisted test generation, test analysis, or automation optimization.
