Part-Time Collaborating Physician (ADHD Medication Management)

Description The Part-Time Collaborating Physician serves as the supervising and collaborating physician for advanced practice providers (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants) delivering behavioral health and ADHD treatment services. The physician's primary responsibilities include oversight of ADHD medication management programs, compliance with applicable state regulations, clinical consultation, and collaboration with mid-level providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care. This role provides direct patient care on a limited basis as needed while primarily serving as a clinical resource, collaborator, and quality assurance leader for the practice. Responsibilities: Clinical Collaboration and Supervision

• Serve as the collaborating physician for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants.
• Maintain collaboration and supervision requirements in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations.
• Conduct regularly scheduled case reviews with advanced practice providers.
• Provide clinical consultation regarding diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and complex patient cases.
• Support providers in managing patients with ADHD and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
• Be available for consultation during established business hours. ADHD Medication Management Oversight
• Provide clinical oversight for ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment protocols.
• Review and approve evidence-based treatment guidelines related to ADHD care.
• Collaborate with providers regarding stimulant and non-stimulant medication prescribing.
• Monitor prescribing practices to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with management of complex medication cases, adverse reactions, and treatment-resistant presentations.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives related to ADHD services. Direct Patient Care
• Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits as needed.
• Manage complex ADHD cases requiring physician involvement.
• Provide second opinions, medication consultations, and treatment recommendations.
• Complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner. Quality and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and organizational prescribing regulations.
• Support clinical documentation reviews and chart audits.
• Participate in peer review and quality assurance activities.
• Assist in developing and updating clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote patient safety and evidence-based care standards. Leadership and Consultation
• Mentor advanced practice providers and support ongoing professional development.
• Participate in provider meetings and clinical case conferences.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new clinical staff.
• Provide guidance regarding complex behavioral health and ADHD treatment scenarios. Employment Status FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule:

• Approximately 5-20 hours per week, depending on patient volume and state collaboration requirements.
• Participation in scheduled chart reviews, provider meetings, and consultation sessions.
• Availability for provider support and clinical oversight as needed. Work Location: Remote and/or onsite based on organizational needs and state regulations Requirements Required Qualifications: Required
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state(s).
• Current DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing authority.
• Board certification in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or related specialty.
• Minimum of two years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience prescribing and managing ADHD medications across pediatric, adolescent, and/or adult populations.
• Ability to meet state collaboration and supervision requirements for advanced practice providers. Preferred
• Experience supervising or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Behavioral health, psychiatry, or ADHD specialty experience.
• Experience in outpatient or telehealth settings.
• Knowledge of behavioral health best practices and integrated care models. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expertise in stimulant and non-stimulant medication management.
