Summary Job Description: Seeking Charge Nurse WOW! Job Duties: Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. About the Unit: The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing . With nurse-to-patient ratios (4:1) , our team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. Our unit is composed both experienced and new graduate nurses; we work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient centric care. Premium Pay

for WOW shifts. Qualifications: Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN. Current Indiana or compact state RN license. BLS for healthcare provider required. ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire). One year of nursing experience required; One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
